Manufacturing Managers

(Day Shift System)

Location: South Midlands

Our Client is part of a global packaging group employing over 20,000 people across 203 manufacturing sites offering a broad range of plastic, fibre, metal and glass packaging products. The site in the Midlands, which employs in excess of 150 people, prints and converts high quality, flexible packaging, using state of the art equipment, for a highly demanding, blue chip customer base.

It is within this context that the company wishes to recruit two Manufacturing Managers, working on a 4 on, 4 off day shift system, to take responsibility for pre-press, production and material control ensuring optimum standards of health & safety and efficiency are met and customer expectations exceeded.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will liaise externally with global colleagues and internally lead, develop and motivate your teams. You will expand their skills and capabilities, fulfil their training needs, encourage teamwork and foster an atmosphere of continuous self-improvement.

These skills demand exceptional communication and leadership abilities, a commitment to customer service, a no compromise approach to health and safety and a determination to maintain operational excellence. We are keen to hear from applicants with a degree in an engineering or manufacturing discipline, together with experience at supervisory level gained within a similar high volume, complex, manufacturing environment. In particular, we're especially interested in those able to supply evidence of developing people skills and delivering improvements in efficiency.
