Through a focus of strategic acquisition and sound investment, with an annual turnover approaching €200m, Weidenhammer Packaging Group (WPG) is now a major force in the European packaging sector and a market leader in the supply of composite cans and In-mould labelling plastic containers.

Following major success and growth in its injection moulding/in-mould labelling business (currently manufactured in Germany), the company is seeking to expand this further and is poised to penetrate the UK market, resulting in the appointment of a Business Development Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for an IM/IML specialist to identify and develop business with blue chip FMCG, food customers in the UK, in anticipation of significant investment at Weidenhammer’s recently announced green field site in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The overall objective of WPG Plastics business is high growth, from €20 to €50m, over the next 10 years and as a result the role offers excellent career development prospects.

Applicants must have proven sales/business development experience in injection moulding/in-mould labelling and a sound contact base within the FMCG and food sectors. Exceptional candidates from other areas of high volume FMCG packaging, may be considered. This experience will ideally be supported by an innovative approach and a good design/technical appreciation in order to develop bespoke customer solutions.
